I have NO idea why the comments box isn't working. (not that anyone's ever gonna use them...I just want to know they WORK.) I'm going to redo the template for this page very slowly, and see if I can make it work. I just seem to have lost the code for it in there somewhere. I'm working on it.

'Cause I got tired of having to justify that I was blogging for to blog. So I blog here, and I'll journal there, and maybe I'll LJ on occasion. Probably not, though. I like this blog. I worked hard on this blog.

I've been typing every freakin' thing in manually forEVER, which makes it VERY hard to balance the damn thing..when I could have typed in like normal, and then downloaded the file and balanced it THAT way?!

Temple Of the Slayer!!

I finished Temple of the Slayer! After three years, I finally finished the story!!! I'm SO HAPPY!!

It's done! It's finished!!!

This means I only have TWO series still left un finished: An Interesting Concept (B/G) and Second Chances (B/A)

I may or may not finish them right now, but now I know I will eventually! I WILL!! My muse is back! I'm writing again!!

HA! Look, I'm updating THIS blog!

If you know what you're doing here, you've been reading my DA journal, which gets updated WAY more often. However, if you're just watching this blog, you should head on over to DA and check it out.

OK, this is just an update post...I haven't posted in a while, and some stuff has changed.

First off, check out my DA page, there's a TON of new stuff up there, as well as some new journal entries that should shed some light on my silence over HERE.

WTF?!

I posted a resume on craigslist (www.craigslist.com) like, two weeks ago.

I have heard NOTHING from it. I posted at monster too, and nothing.

Today, I got TWO calls. One from an art gallery in Laguna Beach (WOW) and one from an employment agency MANAGMENT company.

The Gallery basically wants me to run it. I'm...just floored.

The management company thinks they have a few magazines that could use me for some photomanipulation and airbrushing.

*squeaks*

Then I log onto Neopets. (Shut up. I play Neopets. I'm geeky. I admit this)

I won 2500np off a scratchcard, and at the SAME MOMENT found a piece of the Petpet Lab map...then I got a dubloon from Coltzan, and 2000np from the WOE.

Temple of 1,000 Tombs

This is the newest Neopets plot.

I'm an addict. Deal with it.

Anyway, I went. I went to the fortune teller, and I got my clue, and I played pyramids, and I got my scroll, and then I went to the tomb and found the right door and got my tablet peice. I took it to Donny and he fixed it, and then I put it in my tablet, and went back to the fortune teller for my next clue. I played Snow Wars, I got my scroll peice, and I went to the temple again.

And I couldn't get back in. *cries* I have to wait another hour!!

SO DAMN FRUSTRATING!!

Now, technically, I have a Neoquest II game going. But I have to wander around for a HELL Of a long time because I keep getting stuck at the four faeries, and I'm tired of dying. It's pissing me off. So I have to wander to bump my players because I have NO mesmerize (I didn't know I'd NEED it) and I have very little of...something else...that I need. I have it written down somewhere. *sighs*

So here I am. Typing random things. In the hopes I'll kill time so I can go back to the Temple, because I don't WANT to go back to Neoquest for a while.

And my site's down, so I can't send out resumes, see, as my portfolio is on the site.

So I'm stuck for something to do.

Oh, my poor little computer. It's trying SO hard...

But, see, it only has 384 RAM.

And I'm running Photoshop CS.

It's REALLY trying. It is.

Why is it that the computer at work is so much faster than the one at home when it comes to running things like flash animations (which pisses me off, by the way...I just BOUGHT a new computer for home, damnit!) but can barely open photoshop?

No, don't start sending me info on computer parts and memory and video cards. I KNOW why.

My question has nothing to do with the actual question.

My boss gets computer parts for free.

Free.

So here's the REAL question: Why don't I have more memory?

Even better. He keeps complaining that I don't have a webcamera. But he hasn't gotten one for me yet.

Now, I actually DON'T think he's hinting for me to get these things myself. He wants the write offs, and I'm on 1099, so he knows that if I buy them, I'll get the write offs.

So no, I don't get it.

And really, I'm just bitching.

Now...don't go thinking this kind of regular update is going to be normal. I figured I'd probably pull off twice a week or so, or something.

That is, if something extrordinary doesn't happen.

Or just...out of the ordinary.

There's a sofa and a loveseat on my lawn.

Now, understand, I have a sofa. It's in my livingroom. And when I woke up this morning, it was still there. Granted, I woke up late. I slept in. It's Saturday. I'm allowed to do that.

But then I walked out to get my paper. And guess what?

There's a sofa and a loveseat on my lawn.

So...I think, hmm. In fact, that's exactly what I said. I said "Hmm..." and then I said "Huh." And then I came back in to see if someone I knew had brought me a sofa and a loveseat and just not left a note or something. But no one had. So I went back out to examine these things.

Damn skippy no one I knew left 'em. If they had, I'd have hit them. Very, very hard.

There's a cushion missing from the sofa, and the two cushions on the loveseat are showing stuffing, as well as a small, questionable stain that I chose not to investigate closer. There are numerous tears, rips, and holes, and the wood has been scratched to death.

Well, actually...if I didn't know better, I'd have thought it WAS from my house. We have five cats. We HAD a sofa like this once.

But ours was a prettier color! Better fabric!

Also, we sold it to a sucker for $10 at a garage sale, with a cover over it so he didn't know what he was getting.

Anyway...there's a sofa. And a loveseat. On my front lawn.

If it's yours....could you please come get it back? I don't want it.

Though, I must say, you set it up splendidly. At least they weren't piled on top of each other like they were being thrown away. You did it up nice! It's quite the display.

Please don't do it again, or I'll have to hunt you down and kill you.

Seriously, why are you people searching for this stuff? And HOW do you get HERE?

Now, on a given month, about fifteen people find me by searching for "trinitylast". Which is pretty cool, and gives my ego a hell of a boost. Another 10 people or so, on average, find me by searching for "trinitylast fan fiction". I'm not at the TOP of that list, but I'm assuming they see the trinitylast.com url and come here. Still fairly cool.

But some of these other searches...how are you people getting here?! And...what is WRONG with you?! I just don't get some of you.

For example...at least FIVE of you people searched for "waka daka do". And found me. Not only did you SEARCH for that. But by searching, you then found my site. And clicked on it. Something about the search results for my site in relation to "waka daka do" hit a chord with you and you came in.

Seriously. What's that about?

Also...uhm... "macbeth summery".

Well...first off, you spelled summary wrong. Second off...how. HOW on EARTH. Did you get HERE?! And..like...six of you people got here that way!

Really. This is just...very odd.

Also searched for was "angelus/riley" which I have major issues with, and while I understand that google takes out the / and just finds stuff like "blah blah angelus" riley said...still. Don't search for that, come to my site, and then expect everything to be just hunky-dory. The fan fiction on my site is BUFFY-CENTRIC only. No A/R here. Not unless she's snuggly wedged in the middle.

I've also gotten hits off searches for "ten fine toes to wiggle in the sand". Four of them.

Now, in case you don't know, this is a line from the opening song to the Cary Grant movie Father Goose. But I don't remember EVER printing this on the site anywhere at all...and if you were looking for lyrics, how'd you wind up here?

Also, "quotes on getting over your boyfriend".

Uhmkay.

Now, I get a lot of hits off searches for Neopets Fonts, and for Buffy fan fic of some kind. I'm used to that. Those are my two big draws...and I just kind of hope people who found the site from those searches check out the rest, though I admit, updating this blog would be a bigger draw.

But when they're NOT looking for Buffy, and they're not Neopians...they're just ODD.

I mean, who searches for "dying with dignity" and ends up here?! WHO?

On a different note, you may notice a new graphic set and color scheme.

By the way...f you have the fateback site bookmarked and are still coming here through that link. You have GOT to update your bookmarks. We've been here on TL.com for about three years, now. The Oddest Thing...

It's occured to me that I'm just a bit odd. Why, you ask?

I was going to Hollywood video to return a DVD. The Princess Diaries II DVD they gave us was so damaged we'd lost half the movie, and my mom wanted to see the first one, too, now.

I got up to the door and realized I'd forgotten my ATM card. Which means that I couldn't pay for the first Princess Diaries DVD.

Now, here's where the odd part comes in. Most people would have turned around and gone back for the card, or they'd have not gotten the DVD, right? Right. Logical and reasonable.

Not me.

I figured didn't want to drive all the way back, see. So I went in, handed the woman the three DVDs we'd rented (the other two were so bad they don't even rate comment) and said that the Princess Diaries II DVD was so damaged we'd missed half the movie. So I wanted a different copy.

I also wanted a copy of the first Princess Diaries movie, and I didn't want to pay for it, such was my annoyance at the broken one I'd rented.

I hear the wincing of my shy-er readers. (I hope to have more readers soon)

However...as I expected, the woman just nodded, went and got them for me while I waited at the counter, and just handed them to me, telling me when they were due back.

The oddest thing is, it didn't occur to me until I was home that most people don't just expect that. They expect the sales person to argue with them, and they expect to walk out red-faced and embaressed, never able to walk in that store again.

So, here's a question I leave you all with. Am I just that strange? Am I rude? She didn't seem upset with me, so I don't know. I just know I didn't want to drive home again just to get a peice of plastic. :P

Actually, this is me bored out of my fucking mind!!!!

Seriously. Oh. My. GOD!!! HELP!

*ahem* It's two thirty. For those just tuning in, I'm working at a hearing aid clinic this week, in a vain attempt to make enough money to pay my credit cards off and yet not actually call the client from hell and offer to do his recent projects.

There were only three appointments on the books today, which, if this week is a good example, makes for a VERY light day. One at eight thirty, one at ten, and one at three.

Eight thirty never showed up. Ten called and canceled.

If three doesn't show up, I may slit my throat.

THERE IS NOTHING TO DO HERE. It's one of those temp jobs, even, where there's nothing to do, and they won't let you read. I should be very, very happy that I have a computer, and I can net surf...but I'm nervous about it since my back is to the offices, and my boss...who's actual name is Dick (BTW...try asking someone who can't hear all that well if they see Dick or Clay, who is the other person in this office. Trust me. The results are priceless...and better and better the deafer the person is. Shouting it. THAT'S fun) can come out at any time and see my screen.

SO....that rules out most message boards, ALL of www.neopets.com, which is my favorite site to bum around, www.deviantart.com, which is another great site to just kinda sift through, and even most of my site, other than Thedge...which would be a silly place for me to go, since I've read all the stuff on there, and written a lot of it, even.

Two thirty. I think I've pushed the break thing too far today...I actually took them. Dick doesn't seem to like that. And it's only a temp gig, so I don't really want to push it. Plus...I keep falling asleep...so smoking is probably not the best idea. What with the fact that it gives me a nice, relaxing head rush. I almost fell asleep SMOKING the last one. *ahem* Probably not the best thing I could be doing right now.

I mean, what if someone comes in and wants to buy a six dollar pack of hearing aid batteries?? I might MISS THAT SALE AND THEN THIS COMPANY WOULD GO BANKRUPT AND THEY'D HAVE TO CALL MY AGENCY AND TELL THEM HOW GREAT I WAS, JUST LIKE THE LAST PLACE I WORKED WHERE I WAS ACCUSED OF LOSING THE COMPANY FOUR MILLION DOLLARS ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE TEMPS THAT WERE WORKING ON THE PROJECT, AND THEN THEY CALLED AND TOLD MY AGENT THAT I WAS JUST THE BEST WORKER THEY'D EVER HAD!!!

Ooops...guess that one got away from me...

The problem here is that I was working with a temp agency that found specialty people actual WORK. Like, I'm a web designer. And they found me work on web design crews for short term projects. Rather than contracting out myself, and spending all my free time networking, they did it all for me.

It was GREAT.

They went under. *sighs* Not all that encouraging, is it? I don't know why, either. I mean, they were definitly sending me a lot of work. So, I know that at least they were making money off the clients and workers.

The best I can come up with is that they didn't have enough people to fill the positions. Most likely, the competition with privatly networking people sent them under. I guess.

I'm mostly just talking out of my ass here. I'm sitting behind a receptionist's desk for the first time in years, and I hate it. A lot.

But I will do this for the next eight years rather than work with the client from hell. The needy, "I must meet with you in person every day no matter what we're doing or how much easier it would be for you to NOT drive the two hours to meet me halfway and then two hours back and instead just email it" guy.

Seriously. Because of the four hour drive, it takes a week to do what I should be able to do in three days. Which means a four days longer before I can get the second half of my fee.

Which is another thing!!! Ok. If a person says to you: "that'll be five hundred. Two-fifty up front, two fifty on delivery"...why, why, why would you claim later that you thought the front half was the whole fee?

Seriously. Why?

Do I seem like the kind of person to forget a standard price I quote on a weekly (ok, monthly) basis?

I don't think so.

Plus, y'know...

CHECK THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED.

See, I never work without a contract, no matter how short term the gig. So, this is just a seriously lame attempt to get out of paying me.

I need that money. Give it up, or I'll blow up your computer from my modem.

Heh heh heh...you'd be amazed how many people think I can really do that...
